Ok let’s get down to business, he’s no other than Innocent ‘Tuface‘ Ujah Idibia also known as ‘Tu–baba‘.
He’s a Nigerian Afro-pop singer/song-writer, record producer and entrepreneur. One of the most decorated, successful and also one of the most bankable artists in the country.
Born in Jos, Plateau-state on 18th of September,1975. He hails from the Idoma tribe of Benue-state. He enrolled in Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Enugu in 1996 to study Business administration. He however didn’t finish college as he dropped out to pursue his musical career.
He was part of the defunct group Plantashun boyz which had rapper blackface ( Ahmed Augustine Obiabo) and musician Faze ( Chibuzor Orji) in it. After their disbandment in 2004, he went solo and released his debut album face2face (2004) followed by Grass2Grace (2006) under Kennis Music. His popular song “African Queen” has remained evergreen and was used as soundtrack in the movie “phat girlz“.
He founded Hypertek Entertainment in 2008 after leaving Kennis Music and also owns a nightclub ‘Rumuors‘. Tubaba is a heavy investor in real estate and stock. He’s also been a brand ambassador for Guinness Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries, airtel Nigeria, Campari and National agency for food and drug admin and control (Nafdac).
He has an NGO called 2face Idibia reachout foundation, whose motto is: Service to humanity. he’s won several awards including MTV Europe music awards, World music awards, the headies hip-hop awards, Channel O music video awards, BET awards, MTV Africa music awards, MOBO and Kora awards.
Known for his calm and humble nature, he got married to his first Lover Annie Macaulay–Idibia on 2nd of May, 2012 in a private ceremony in Lagos. They had their traditional marriage on the 8th of March, 2013 in Eket Akwa-Ibom state and white wedding in Dubai on the 23rd of March, 2013.
Tubaba has seven children from three different women including two from his wife, Annie.
His net worth is estimated at $11million dollars. He’s adored by every entertainer in Nigeria and the music industry at large.
