My favorite DIY hair mask

So for a few months now, I stopped applying unnecessary chemicals on my hair and went natural. I even had to trim off my relaxed ends in other to grow a more healthy hair. Blow-dryers, heat & some chemicals causes a lot of damage to our hair hence my decision.

in the course of my use of different DIY hair masks, my favorite is the avocado.image

My reasons are:

  • It prevents hair loss

  • promotes hair growth

  • softens hair

  • The oil in avocado deeply Moisturises the hair & gives it shine.

  • Adds volume to the hair.

Here is how to make the Avocado hair mask:

Ingredients:

  • one or two ripe avocados
  • one egg yolk
  • One tablespoon olive oil or any essential oil.

Method:

  • Mash the avocado in a bowl
  • mix the egg yolk and oil

  • blend all ingredients preferably to avoid lumps.

  • section hair and deeply massage on clean damp hair from roots to end

  • cover hair with cap for 30-45 mins

  • shampoo & condition.

I usually treat my hair to this every 2-4 weeks. ( I can be lazy sometimes).  But trust me, this hair recipe is great for damaged hair try it.

Whats your favorite DIY hair mask? I’d like to know your thoughts.

    1. @ Glory always deep- condition hair regularly to soften hair. The avocado recipe is one good way to deep-condition too. And always keep hair moisturized using coconut oil, castor oil or other essential oils and Shea-butter to avoid breakage. Get a spray bottle, put 70% water then other oils, use daily. Use wide-toothed combs only and sleep on a satin bonnet.
